Probably a faulty brake light switch or the brake light switch is installed incorrectly.
Short in switch or wiring. Get this repaired ASAP or you may have a fire. answer replace light switch
It's a switch near the gearstick, which when pressed, turns on an amber warning light on the dashboard. The function of it is to hold you in a particular gear - for going downhill and such. To get rid of it you just need to flip the switch.
The brake light switch on a Nissan is located just behind the brake pedal. It sends a signal to the brake lights when the pedal is pressed to turn them on.
if light is not going off, bad switch or short in wiring to light!!
When it has been pressed and the light is on, the transmission is limited to 3rd gear.
There is a button on the dashboard just below the flashing right indicator lights. Switch off the ignition and press this button and hold it pressed and switch on the ignition and keep the button pressed until zero appears. Switch off the ignition.
All a switch does is separate the hot side of a voltage source from the light. This means you put the switch "in series" with the black wire going to the light fixture. The black wire from supply goes into one terminal of the switch and the black wire going to the light goes on the other terminal. The switch is grounded with the bare wire from supply and the white wires coming from supply and going to light are connected with a wirenut. The bare wire grounds are also connected with a wirenut.
Press in and hold the trip reset button. Switch on the ignition keeping the button pressed.

There is no switch to activate or deactivate the brake lights on a 1988 Nissan. The brake lights automatically turn on any time the brakes are pressed.
A buzzing sound coming from a light switch means the switch is going bad and is shorting in the wall. Stop using the switch and replace immediately, this is a fire hazard.
The 2002 Mitsubishi Gallant tail light fuse is located in the first column of the fuse box. The tail light relay switch is also in the fuse box, at the top of the third column.
pull headlight switch OUT toward you and make sure the fog light switch is pressed. It is located on the dash near the radio if they are factory lights.
The wire you are looking for is a white wire in the bundle that is closest to the brake pedal. Use a test light or meter to check voltage going through the wire when the pedal is pressed.
When the brakelite switch fails it fails to on. Replace the brakelite switch. Located under the dash on the brake pedal arm. You will see a push switch that is released when the brake is pressed. Just replace that switch.
For most vehicles it is on the inside front of the door, where it is pressed down if the door is shut.
Yes. Even with no power to the light, there is still power to the switch. To power off the switch you usually need to open a circuit breaker.
1. Set the ignition key to off.2. Press the clock button and keep it pressed while turning the ignition switch to on.3. Keep it pressed untill the oil change light goes out (about 2 seconds)
You may have the main switch turned on for the light. If the main switch is on, closing the door will not result in the light going off.

If I remember correctly, an ignition "Kill Switch" is a secret switch (or button) that must be pushed into a particular position for the ignition system to start the car.... That being said.... Simple. If it's a button that has to be pressed for the (key) ignition to start the car, duct tape it in place. Same for a "light switch" switch". OR...you could solder a wire to circumvent the switch..... :) Now remember...if the switch uses a thicker wire....you're going to want to use a thicker wire when you solder it :)
Sense you are going the speed of light the lights would not come on but the switch will still work.
adgust the brake light switch at the brake pedel under the dash
One of the door switches could be stuck. Or the interior light switch could be going bad. See if the open door light is staying on, of if the interior light switch seems stuck or loose.
