I think that you will find that there is a rod that opens and close akind of door which is run by a vacum line or arubber tube . More than likely the vacume line is pulled loose or the rod has come loose that goes to the door that switches your air flow from blowing in defrost,heateer on the floor and the vents on the front where your AC comesout.
