Why is my computer starting to fail to start unless you then unplug power and retry it and when you retry sometimes the screen stays black and sometimes gets through part startup before stalling again?

There may be one or more things failing in your system.
The power supply may be failing, your motherboard may be developed bad capacitors, or your memory may be faulty.
