change your pcv filter and pcv sensor that pops into your valve cover
should be on the valve cover going to the air filter housing
It is located on the front valve cover under the cover that says "duratec 24v dohc"
Look on the valve cover. There is a small hose running from the air filter cover to it.
It is on the driver's side on the valve cover. it has a rubber hose going to it. you just pull it out and it(pcv) will be on the end of it. I just replaced mine for the first time and had trouble finding it myself. It could be on either engine valve cover, but it's the only hose that runs directly from the valve cover to the air filter/ throttle body. The filter is on the valve side of this hose.
its molded to the valve cover you cant just replace the pcv valve gotta do the whole valve cover or an in-line filter setup
where is egr valve on 1998 ford contour
Crankcase breather hose.
Locate pcv valve on 1995 ford contour
Change the pcv valve in the valve cover.
Usually it is either a screw on cap in a valve cover or you're expected to yank the PCV filter out of a valve cover.
The filter, or filter bypass valve is clogged, replace the filter and then the valve; if the filter replacement does not fix it. (NOTE: Some cars have the bypass filters in the oil filter, others do not)
Open the hood the fuel filter is right in front of the valve cover and it is clear.

It is located on the top of the left valve cover. there will be a hose with a 90 degree bend going into the valve cover.
On a 1987 Jeep Wrangler, the fuel filter is located on the driver's side of the valve cover. It is a small silver cylinder with one line going into it and two lines coming out of it.
Clean the orifice tube at the valve cover. That's the tube that goes from the valve cover to the intake. At the valve cover it gets plugged causing crankcase pressure to get fed through the breather tube.
valve cover with a vaccum hose going to the throttle body
If it's not coming from the valve cover gaskets, could be from the rear rail of the intake manifold, or maybe it's from the oil filter seal, or possibly the pipe plug above the oil filter.
i am going to change the valve cover gasket on my 97 cadillac catera, what do i need to remove and do? Is it hard?

It is a hose that connects from the air filter to valve cover that stops contamenents from staying in the engine.
The "spider gasket" inside the valve has been destroyed by the chlorine and the water is blowing through the valve instead of going through the sand. Take the cover off of the valve by removing the screws on top and examine the gasket beneath. If this is not the problem, then I would replace the sand in the sand filter. Pool Masters
