The Ring of Fire is a string of volcanoes and sites ofseismicactivity, or earthquakes, around the edges of the Pacific Ocean. Roughly 90% of all earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire, and the ring is dotted with 75% of all active volcanoes on Earth.
The Ring of Fire isn't quite a circular ring. It is shaped more like a 40,000-kilometer (25,000-mile) horseshoe. A string of 452 volcanoes stretches from the southern tip of South America, up along the coast of North America, across the Bering Strait, down through Japan, and into New Zealand. Several active and dormant volcanoes in Antarctica, however, "close" the ring.

An earthquake is a sudden and violent shaking of the ground, it is caused by movements within the earth's crust or volcanic action.
A shift in the earth's crust to relieve pressure, and therefore release energy, is an earthquake.
An earthquake can be caused in two different ways, there is a volcanic earthquake and a tectonic earthquake. Tectonics earthquakes are much more common than volcanic earthquakes. Volcanic earthquakes are when magma, or molten rock, moves underground. This can cause earthquake directly in what is called a harmonic tremor, or indirectly by breaking and shifting rock. A tectonic earthquake is when stress built up by the movement of Earth's tectonic plates is released in the form of shaking.
earthquakes can be caused by either tectonic or volcanic. Tectonic earthquakes are caused by movement of tectonic plates underneath the earth surface. Volcanic earthquakes are caused by volcanic activities underneath or above earth's surface.
This is known as an earthquake or as seismic activity.
Yes there are a number of active volcanoes on Earth.

The Earth and possibly Venus (but nothing has been confirmed, just suspected). Note: The moon Io of Jupiter is the most volcanically active body in the Solar System.

Volcanic eruptions, siesmic wave patterns, plate tectonics activities.

Yes, at least Mt Erebus is active -- the southern-most active volcano on earth.
There are three forms of earthquakes which are the convergent boundary, divergent boundary, and the transform fault. The earthquake waves may be in P-waves (primary) and in S-waves (secondary).
