Not as much as Korea was, but enough for the Soviets & Chinese Communists to test out their products: MiG17 (J5s), MiG19 (J6s), Mig21s, SAMs, Radars, AAA, PT76, T54/T55, T59, P4 & P6 Motor Torpedo Boats, SKS's, AK-47s, hand grenades, land mines, Rockets, artillery, etc.

Where else could the communists get the chance to test out their new jets and missiles and shoot down a B52!
