Sounds like a bad head gasket
Its prob the radiator fan. Or you are out of coolant.
Low coolant level? Cooling fan not working? Thermostat not opening fully? Water pump not circulating coolant? Plugged or restricted radiator? Defective radiator cap?
Check coolant level Cooling fan working? Dirt or clogged radiator? Defective radiator cap?
Effectively all the fuel that it burns while idling. You are getting 0 miles per gallon while idling.
Radiator could be plugged or restricted
May have an answer already, but be sure that the radiator is full of coolant.
A bad fan clutch, low on coolant, missing fan shroud, bad thermostat or a plugged up radiator.
Is the cooling fan[s] coming on? is the radiator full of coolant ?does the engine have a blown head gasket or cracked head? Why did it need a radiator?
BAd radiator cap, low coolant or (leaking), Bad thermostat, cooling fans not turning on.
Your thermostat is probably stuck preventing the flow of coolant to the radiator. This is an inexpensive fix.
Engine is running slower at idle, therefore water pump is running slower and water is being circulated at a slower speed and there is no air flow through the grill to the radiator Try flushing the coolant and replacing the thermostat. This usually helps or solves the problem. If it doesnt then your radiator is prbably clogged and not properly dispersing fluid through it. You will most likely have to change the radiator. It is possibly the coolant temp sensor is not quite right. It could just be several things. Try the flusing first. Good luck.
try checking your cooloing fan. make sure it is running There is no air getting to your radiator as you are not moving! Or there is a problem elsewhere in your cooling system!
