Why is the mileage so important and what happens to your car when the mileage of the car is over?

mileage is important because it shows you how many miles is on the motor some motors last longer than other motors and if you are purchasing a used car the miles factor into the price of a car the higher the miles the less money a finance company will give you and less money you can get if your selling the car newer cars with high miles means they were driven alot over a short period of time older cars with low miles means they were not driven alot higher miles on a newer car means possible motor wear on pistons and drive train possibly transmission etc pretty much everything can break if the car was not taken care of with regular maitenence while being driven all those miles most common thing on high mileage vehicles is probabaly low compression or smoking burning oil so if your buying a car with high miles start it on a cold day and see what color the smoke is coming from the tail pipe blue and black is bad smoke should be white or barley visible but its cold out so it might look white and avoid funny clicking and clanking noises from the motor when you start it might do that but as it warms up it should not still click or clank and if it gets louder when you rev it up avoid that too hope that helps ansewer your question im not an expert or anything this is just what i have been told
