If your security light is staying on, it's a good indication that you VATS system is mulfunctioning. At some point your car randomly will not start. Most likely the case is that the wires that run from your ignition to your VATS module are loose or broken up. It's a really easy cheap and easy fix. Just search VATS on GM vechicles.
