It depends: does your truck have Power Steering or manual. Keep in mind that while driving a car with speed, power steering or manual, much less movement needs to be made on the wheel to make a bigger turn adjustment. If you have power steering, and it is hard to turn at any rate, check the fluid, belt, and check for leaks. if you cant find whats wrong and you still have a problem turning the wheel, it probably the pump going out. If you have a truck with manual steering, it might be normal.
you just have to remove the horn cover and you should see the nut that fix the steering. it should be hard to remove but you can achieve it even if u don't have a puller. First u should take a marker and place a mark to be sure to replace the steering at the same position. Then if you have a puller use it, if not i had success by pulling (we were 2 guys pulling) the steering and knocking on the top of the bolt to make some vibration and make the removal easier.
You can't. Well you can, but it's easier and cheaper if you buy a remanufactured power steering pump. Most leaks in these pumps come from the mounting seal for the reservoir. You will need special tools to pull and replace these seals, and not to mention the hassle. So, a remanufactured pump should be cheap and easier to remedy your problem.
When you car is sitting still and it is extremely hard to turn but as you get going you can turn easier
you dont HAVE to remove it but it does make it easier. removing the column it not very difficult.
It would probably be easier and less cumbersome to replace a CPU with the same brand.
Depending on your qualifications, it is probably easier for a shop to do it. They are paid to do what they do so they should be able to fix it easily.
You shouldn't have to remove the airbag in order to replace the gas gauge light. The steering column is held up by a couple of retaining bolts. Remove these bolts and the steering column will lower enough that instrument panel will come out easier. The steering column won't drop to the floor when you do this but will hang in midair. If you have a tilt wheel, you might have to adjust the wheel tilt to allow the panel to come out easier. Don't forget to remove the steering column cover though.
You must remove the steering wheel. There are some special tool that make this much easier.
French Horn they have some of the same fingerings and is extremely similar to the trumpet.
power steering is easier and you do not have to turn the wheel as hard as manually.
Electric (Power) Steering works from a hydraulic pumping system, advantages are lighter steering for easier control.
The pump pressurizes the power steering fluid. The fluid travels through the steering rack or steering box to aid in the making the vehicle steer easier.
