the rear u-joint is probalby dry of grease and needs replaced. Replace both on the rear driveshaft if you are going to fix it.
Or, even worse, your rear differential is out of oil. Check the first suggestion first though, as that's usually the problem.

it might be your starter.
The clicking may be the belt tensioner clicking. I know that mine is causeing a clicking noise. If you get a friend to help you, you will be able to see it happen if that is the case.
