The starter bendix is not mating with the ring gear on the flywheel. The soleonoid on the starter motor may be faulty or the teeth of the flywheel or the bendix may have stripped. A bench test of the starter motor would be advised.

engine noise coming thru the radio is caused by a bad ground somewhere so instead of chasing that you go to a car stereo shop and buy a noise filter that hooks up to the ground wire coming off the radio.
If its coming from the rear differential, add some additive, available from chevy.

i was told by a Chevy serviceman that the ticking noise was coming from the fuel injectors firing.but to me it sounded more like lifters tapping or floating.
unless there is noise coming from the timing chain, you should never need to replace it.
if its when you are breaking it is possible it could be a rotor if you hear like a roaring or grinding noise coming from that side also could be a wheel bearing
That is the electric fuel pump that's inside of the fuel tank. That is a common problem with the Chevy trucks. A dirty fuel filter will cause the pump to make that noise or the fuel pump is wearing out.
Transfer case pump grinding a hole through the casing, U-Joints, bearings.
In order to tell you that you would have to describe the noise and what the car is doing when the noise is made. Are you idling, driving, just turned the AC on? What is occurring and what is the noise? Idling and sounds worse when AC is on. Sounds like it is coming from the top of the engine. Vehicle has 120k miles
