Probably blowing back from the front of the car engine. Either oil leak or Power Steering leak or trans leak is getting fluid on the tank in rear. No other reason than that.
Probably the fuel pressure sensor malfunctioning...
did you get all the electrical connection hooked up on the fuel tank ?
Another word for fuel residue is "residual fuel."
first thing is find out what the check engine " light is telling you, Code PO????. then you will get an idea to your question . 2nd answer: I would first suspect low fuel pressure.
I had this same problem, the check engine light came on as well as the fuel light with ample fuel still in the tank, turned out that the VM value was bad, or vapor managment value, so it doesn't just have to be the engine can also be fuel system problems.AnswerGO TO AUTO PARTS STORE ASK FOR OBD 2 READING ON YOUR CAR. THAT WILL TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG.
If the oil light came on before the engine died then, no. The Oil Light is not an indication of the fuel pump or relay. The Oil Light comes on when the oil preasure drops too low, which can happen when the oil pump goes out, the oil passages are restricted or the vehicle is too low on oil. If the Oil Light came on when the motor died or shortly after, that is normal, because the motor stopped running, thus stopping the oil pump. If your oil light came on well before the motor died, then either you were about out of oil or the oil pump quit...... AND if that happened and then your engine died..... you're looking at replacing/rebuilding the engine.
Some are designed to shut fuel pump off if oil pressure drops. Engine seized?
intake manifold
There can be dust, particles or even trash in the fuel tank. If they get into the engine they can do some damage or at the very least burn up and leave a residue on the piston walls.
A clogged or defective fuel filter will very likely cause a check engine light. If it is suspected, it should be replaced.
That depends entirely on the reason why the check engine light is on.
No, it will not.
