Much of what led people to Southwest Asia (Middle East) was the fact that it was the fertile crescent. There was good farmland, and so a good place to live, eat, and make a living.
because i said so you dont talk to me stop reading this or ill slap you
Because of their oil industry
Oil was first discovered in Southwest Asia in 1908. Since then, oil fields in many regions of Southwest Asia have been found, and other countries rely heavily on Southwest Asia for oil to meet the demands of their economies: transportation requires gasoline (which is oil in a refined form) and power plants burn oil to produce electricity. Specifically, the United States, Japan, and many European countries heavily depend on Southwest Asia for oil because it is home to such vast amounts of petroleum. So, Southwest Asia's oil fields are important to many countries' economies, and thus the world economy, making Southwest Asia very important in terms of world position. the weather in southwest Asia is very harsh with very hot summers and very cold winters so it is very hard for farmers to farm in these conditions and the crops might die with the sudden climate changes.

Oil can be found under Southwest Asia because millions of years ago the area was under water. When the Iranian and Arabian tectonic plates hit, they created spaces where oil was formed and trapped.

The distribution of oil did affect Southwest Asia because the people with oil are rich but the people that don't have oil don't have that much money. There was a relationship between the two because of the money and stuff, so if the people who don't have oil don't have that much money then they won't have money to buy things for Southwest Asia

Technically, Iraq is in Asia, so Iraqis would be considered Asian. However, the term "Asian" in most Anglophone countries is used to refer to people from East Asia (China, Korea, Japan, etc.), so Iraqis would be considered Middle Eastern, not Asian, since Iraq is in the Middle East, not East Asia.
