The cold air is not getting to the other vents, this can have several common causes:
1. Too long of a run for the other vents. Air takes the path of least resistance, if the other vents are 20' further away they will have lower pressure coming through them. Seal the ducts and possibly add a booster fan.
2. Disconnected duct. Check all the lines, sometimes one gets disconnected and is blowing cold air into an attic, crawlspace, or basement.
3. Ducts are running through unconditioned space like an attic. If the duct work spends any time in a 130 degree attic, it raises the temperature of the cooled air. These ducts should be thoroughly sealed and some form of additional insulation put on top, R-30 to R-60.
4. Duct leakage. All ducts leak, often 10-30%. Seal any accessible joints with mastic (tile glue) or foil tape. Don't use Duct Tape.
Yes BUT not an outside wall
Vent through roof
Look at where the cold air is coming from and see if it can be stopped, if not insulate the pipe.
Only if you want to smell the fumes all the time. Code says it should be through the roof or above the edge of the roof.
A stack vent is is the extension of a soil or waste stack above the highest horizontal drain connected to the plumbing stack Vent stack a vertical vent pipe extending through more then two stories which is then connected to a stck vent or is otherwise extended throgh the roof, installed primarily for the purpose of providing circulation of air to and away from any part of the drainage system
If your air conditioner is running outside by not blowing cold air inside through your vent, your indoor coil is frozen. You will need to turn everything off and allow the unit to thaw out.
The AC on a 1998 Dodge Ram 1998 will only be blowing out the defrost vent if the air handler is not set properly. This can result from a piece of debris getting stuck or a faulty flap.
You will need to adjust the temp gauge from cold to warm. Its located right on the middle vent(where the air blows out).
The electric heating elements are probably turned on.
Probably a vacuum leak. Check under the hood for a cracked or pinched vacuum line.
When there is a problem in the vent system it defaults to defrost setting. Check the doors & vac supply
Have you replaced the thermostat?
the air vent is cold
2003 crown vic air conditioning vent dont blow
Check under the hood for a disconnected or damaged vacuum line. The controls are vacuum operated and if the vacuum supply is cut off the system defaults to defroster only.
The first thing that you need to check will be to see if the controller in the dash is working the a/c and heater doors under the dash................
you have a vacuum leak
