You are probably leaking anti-freeze
You may have a oil leak, and oil us leaking onto the hot motor making that smell

It is possible that the hot water coil is leaking, and the cold air running mixing with hot damp air will cause the humid smell issue.
No, you have to attach a garden hose to the fitting at the bottom of the tank. Often the tank will have sediment built up in it and the water will drain very slowly from this.
When a car is hot, keep the car running and add water to the radiator. When a car is cold, you can simply put the water into the radiator.
If your radiator is leaking then you will need to replace it. Additionally, if you find that your car is constantly running hot you will need a new radiator.
Air conditioners create a lot of moisture condesation when they are running, but it is just water. If you see any antifreeze that could be a leaking radiator or water pump (this could also cause your car to run hot and strand you beside the road). Hope this helps.
This is likely a stuck thermostat.
The fan or water pump,
Engine running hot.
