This is often a faulty serpentine belt (the belt that runs the alternator, steering pump, water pump, AC compressor and so on). Check the back (underside) of the belt for cracks. If there are more than a few cracks per inch, the belt needs to be replaced before it breaks or starts slipping badly.
This problem is often worse on wet days. Also note that your vehicle might have two belts rather than one, but most vehicles have only one.
if you turn the key and nothing is making noise check the battery if you are trying to start it and it is making noise press the gas a little bit so that the car can pump gas into the engine
Fuel pump
If the Chrysler is only making a clicking noise and will not start, check the starter. Also check the alternator, and the battery. The starter solenoid is more than likely the reason the car is clicking and not starting.
Fan belt slipping
Maybe that thumping noise is the sound of another car smashing into the rear of your car.
try jumping the battery in the car or cleaning the cables

Is it serious if my car idler is making a noise?
Depends on where the noise is whats making the noise. Can you be more descriptive of where and what?
Yeah, it sure is. What is that?
Probably either a loose belt or a bad bearing.
