If you have North and South Bridge on your computer it will be all you will need not no more then 2 Bridges r VERY POWERFUL chipsets it will speed your computer up tremendously compairing to no bridges on your motherboard...
tecnickly easyest way of explaning the way it works and all is:
Processor is your Engine - RAM is your Gas - HardDrive is your cargo - North Bridge and South Bridge is your High Way...
some computer may have just a north or south bridge some have both...
North Bridge: does all the work to and from RAM to Processor RAM goes to and from Harddrive and processor ... to and from North to South bridge directly
SouthBridge: does the PCI slots and Graphics Chipset when there is info goin through your Graphics card starts with :
Harddrive to RAM to Processor to North Bridge to South Bridge to Graphics Chipset and back up to your Processor and RAM same way it came in...
for some computers it works like that some dont there are deffrent ways how other computers work but if u have a single North bridge it will do all the work that ur South bridge dont.
hope this helps out :)
Their are two bridge found in motherboard the north bridge and the south bridge. North bridge found near the CPU and south bridge found near the BIOS.
they are both very fashionable bridges, but its all about Alter Bridge
north and south bridge of a motherboard
north bridge
Just below where the CPU is located under a heat sink. Although most modern motherboard don't have north bridges and south bridges and instead are combined into a single chipset.
Primary PCIe slot
The Manhattan Bridge. Three bridges connect Brooklyn to Lower Manhattan. In order from south to north, they are the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge and the Williamsburg Bridge.
North Bridge: CPU, Memory, GPU South Bridge: I/O devices, keyboard, mice, NIC card
There are two important historical bridges over the Menai Straits in North Wales, the Menai suspension bridge and the Britannia combined road and rail bridge. In South Wales there are two Severn bridges connecting Wales with England.
I am assuming you mean North Bridge\ South bridge North Bridge is the Memory Controller, that transfers data and instructions between the CPU ,RAM and PCIe Devices. South Bridge is the Storage Controller that controls how data is transferred onto Storage Devices(Hard drives)
There are currently two bridges in Derry, the older is the Craigavon Bridge which was completed in 1933 and is the only bridge in the city proper. The bridge is also known as the "old bridge" locally, and is a double decker bridge carrying road traffic on both decks. The second bridge is the Foyle Bridge, which is further north from the city, and is a four-lane dual-carriageway cantilever bridge and the longest in Ireland. Currently under-construction (January 2011) is the yet to be officially named "Peace Bridge", which is located a few hundred metres north of the Craigavon bridge, and will be a pedestrian bridge when complete.
