I have the same issue - I have found that if I wiggle the wires at the blower motor - the blower kicks in. I haven't gotten to it yet but I suspect that the plug connector is dirty inside or doesn't have enough pressure to make good contact. I plan on cleaning the connector and maybe bending the contact to create more pressure. As might be suspected, it only fails when it is very cold outside and you really need the blower.
i had the same problem, replaced the blower motor, $45, advanced auto parts, works good now!
I was having the same problem. My husband found a loose connection under the hood on the blower fan.
I also had the same problem. I fount that the cause was a defective wire to the blower control module
It's under the bonnet by the blower, it has a push and slide connector and sometimes a other 2 wire connector.

Heater core and head gasket... Well first, they have nothing to do with each other. Maybe you already know that. Heater core - The heater core is like a miniature radiator that sits under your dash. Hot coolant from your engine is pumped through it, a fan blows air across it and this is how you get heat for your interior. Head gasket - It's simply a gasket underneath the cylinder head on your engine. It helps keep everything from leaking out (exhaust gasses, coolant...) in between the cylinder head and the rest of the engine. These are very basic explanations. Hope they help.
Yes, sometimes you might get a dodgy app on your iPod when you jailbreak. These problems are sometimes more serious than other times. It happened to my ipod...
Most likely is a short in the wiring from your heating/cooling/vent controls to the blower motor, or simply the blower is going bad.
The heater blower switch and the electrical plug attached to it may be at fault. Remove the heater control unit from the dash and inspect the plastic electrical plug attached to the blower switch, you may see it has melted. The switch and plug is available from your local auto parts store.
