The exhaust system will change the air flow to the engine so the power commander is needed to re-map or calibrate the system again so that it is optimized. If you don't re-map the system then you will not get the full benefits of the exhaust.

It depends. The fuel injected motorcycle will already have a management system, but you may need to modify its behaviour if the exhaust modifications affect the fueling significantly. There are many devices available on the market to achieve this, the most popular is probably the Power Commander by Dynajet.

Power Commanders are a common installation on Fuel Injected Motorcycles, for example any Yamaha r6 made after 2003.Power Commanders allow you to change out your fuel map ( i.e. change the fuel/air ratio) on your motorcycle for your needs. It is a way to even out your acceleration or increase horsepower. very common amongst racers.especially if you are going to upgrade your exhaust system and air filter you will need to adjust how much fuel is going to the throttle bodies or you will not gain the performance from your other additions.
