Hunting -- unless needed for life -- is, in my opinion, awful. Unless you NEED food, hunting is a sensless game to show off one's skills at breaking the hearts of some animal's family. I am refraining from giving my whole opinion on hunting, because I would probably write an essay with exessive excamation marks and capital letters. Another View: Since we eliminated most of the predators in this country, man had to take on the role vacated by the wolf and the cougar in many areas. If you have never seen deer dying of blue tongue disease, which occurs when they overpopulate, then you cannot begin to understand hunting. I concur about trophy hunting, and any hunting of carnivores as being out of touch with nature. But hunting for food has its benefits. All of the money hunters pay for their licenses go to wildlife protection, and the protection of natural habitat.
