No. They should be taught in Parseltongue, yeah?
Yes. Creation "science" is not science at all. Science is the method by which a conclusion is drawn based on observations. Creationists already have their conclusion, and interpret select observations based on that conclusion. Creation "science" has no actual scientific backing. Answer 2 No. Creationism is perfectly valid as a historical example of the relationship between faith and science, and what happens when dogma becomes more important than the basis for the belief itself. Creationism should of course be much restricted from the science classes, as it is not scientific at all, but it has had a decent impact in religious studies/theology, history, social studies, law..
There is no legitimate reason for not teaching aboutcreationism. To deny students knowledge of common religious beliefs is cencorship. Creationism should be taught in schools - or rather, schools should inform students about creationism, explaining that there exist various religious subcultures that hold their creation stories to be literal truth.
Most certainly not side-by-side. That would imply that they are equivalent notions. Evolution, however, is a scientific theory, and creationism is religious myth. Evolution belongs in biology classes, creationism in something like comparative religion courses.
Creation Science Movement was created in 1932.
A science lesson is where science is taught.
They can both be taught in classrooms. However creationism cannot be taught as if it were scientifically verifiable fact in public schools, as it is not science, and the US constitution prohibits federal or state funded (educational) institutions promoting religion. So if creationism is taught in public school, then it must be taught in comparative religion or philosophy classes, and not in biology classes.
There is no science about creation. Creation is an unfounded myth with absolutely no evidence to support it. Try asking about evolution instead.
cause a lot of future jobs need science like botany and geologist and even studying graphs in cardiology
Evolution is a widely accepted scientific theory supported by extensive evidence, and should be taught in science classes. Creationism, however, is based on religious beliefs and is not supported by scientific evidence, so it is not appropriate to be taught in a science classroom. It may be more suitable for discussion in courses on religion or philosophy.
* This is the huge glaring problem with teaching creation "science" in public schools. There are thousands if not millions of different mythologies related to the origins of man & the universe. Indeed, origins is the central most theme in many theologies. In the interest of fairness, they should all be given equal time. === === * The people interested in Creation Science being taught in schools are usually Christians that believe the Bible. God created everything like it states in Genesis. So probably the God that will be taught in schools will be the Christian God.
