I will attempt to answer your question from the Scriptures and not from any 'religion.' First, Jesus said, "No on has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is , the Son of Man who is in heaven' (John 3:13). Pretty straight forward.

King David was beloved by God but is not in Heaven as Acts 2:29 says, 'Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried.' The rest of the paragraph shows only Christ was raised from the dead and is in Heaven. And verse 34 says, 'For David did NOT ascend into the heavens...'

Adam and Eve die and are buried. Moses was buried secretly so Satan could not find his body in the Earth. Patriarch Joseph was taken out of Egypt by the Israelites and was buried. Since all have sinned they all die at least once, 'For the wages of sin is DEATH, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. When - at the resurrections and judgements of the world - to everlasting life or the 2nd and final death.

Now, concerning your question of the parable of 'The Rich Man and Lazarus' found in Luke 16, this is an allegorical presentation of the final judgement. Those who repent and are baptized into the Faith of Christ become Abraham's seed as Galatians 3:26-29 tells us. The unrepentant sinner, Lazarus is awaiting the 'universal fiery cleansing' in 2 Peter 3:12-13 indicates, 'looking for the hastening, the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be DISSOLVED, being of fire (enlarging of Lake of Fire), and the elements will melt with the fervent heat. Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.' See Revelations 21 for more on the new heaven and new earth.

Lastly, Luke 16 speaks of a great impassable gulf existing between Abraham and the beggar to Lazarus. This illustrates the vanity of hope in those judged unrighteous and await the expanding Lake of Fire that will annihilate all into dust and ashes under the feet of the saved righteous now spiritual sons & daughters of the God Family. It is not God's will that any should have to face this end. It is solely for the unrepentant, incorrigable people and those once having been saved via begettal of God's Holy Spirit, rejected it for the ways of this world.
