You may have a cracked head or bad head gasket. The car will start to overheat from lack of coolant if you don't check the radiator coolant and refill it, if it's low. You need to get the car repaired or replaced before it breaks down and leaves you stranded .

Is it normal for white smoke to come out of the exhaust at startup of a 2000 Rav 4?

is there a sweet smell? Does the coolant level drop in the overflow tank and/or the radiator? if so, you might be looking at a bad head gasket. if there is slight white smoke(usually condensation) and no loss of coolant, then it is normal. once the engine (and exhaust system) gets hot, there should be no more smoke.

Your exhaust emits white smoke and drops of water even when engine warms up but no loss of coolant or overheating?

If there is no overheating or loss of coolant, most likely it is due to condensation in the exhaust system (pretty normal in cool or rainy weather).

Is it normal to have oil to come out tailpipe when head gasket is bad?

no. when a head gasket is bad coolant goes to the exhaust pipe and causes the car to smoke alot all white smoke.

Won't turn over then white smoke?

If the smoke is coming from the exhaust then it's coolant. If its not turning over then it could be hydrolocked from a coolant leak.

Why does white smoke come out of the tailpipe on a jeep wrangler?

White smoke is steam. A little is normal on all engines. If there is a lot it could be an indication of coolant getting into the exhaust, possibly from a failed headgasket.

Why is white smoke coming out of exhaust coolant level high?

Bad head gasket? Oil mixing with coolant?

What can cause white smoke from the exhaust APU?

Coolant getting into the fuel or oil.

What cause white smoke from exhaust it turns black acceleration on a 1994 international 7.3 diesel?

White smoke is water vapor (or coolant) in the exhaust, the black smoke is the (normal) over-rich condition at WOT (full acceleration) White smoke can also be unburned fuel, generally seen on earlier, non-electronic engines that are mistimed.

What can cause white smoke from the exhaust that smells sweet?

Sounds like you have a coolant leak.

Why is therr White smoke coming from exhaust of rexton jeep?

coolant leaking into the engine

Why is white smoke coming out of your exhaust in your 92 Lincoln town car?

White smoke out of the exhaust means that there is coolant getting into the combustion chamber. Usually due to a bad head gasket.

Green smoke from the exhaust?

Black smoke is overly rich fuel/air mixture. Blue smoke is oil burning. White smoke is coolant in the combustion chamber. I have never seen green smoke coming from an auto exhaust. The only thing I would suspect is that this is coolant in the combustion chamber caused by a blown head gasket. If it smells sweet and you are loosing coolant with no apparent leak, then you have a blown head gasket or cracked head.
