Since Barack Obama is the president, he is always in the news, every week. As I write this, it is late April 2013, and the president was in the news last week for his disappointment that the congress refused to pass a bill that would expand background checks and close the so-called "gun show loophole." He was also in the news for expressing his appreciation that Massachusetts and federal law enforcement officers captured the perpetrators of the attack on the Boston Marathon (one man was killed, the other was taken into custody after an intensive manhunt).
