The simple answer is that Germany signed the Tripartite Pact with Japan, and not the US. The more accurate answer is: Germany wanted to conquer Russia (Soviet Union), and needed Japan to help them do it. Germany thought if they helped Japan fight the US, then Japan might help the Germans fight the Russians (Soviets). Hitler knew Japan had a record of fighting the Russians; 1904-1905 & 1939. Hitler also knew that the best way to defeat a nation was by "Divide and Conquer." It was hoped that Japan would open a "second front" by attacking Russia (Soviets) from the east; while Germany kept the pressure on from the west.

Who did the US go to war against in World War 1?

They fought against the Central Powers, the two main countries being Germany and Austria-Hungary. The US joined after Germany re-commenced unrestricted submarine warfare after having ceased at the request of Wilson, but they resumed it after pressure from the Navy forced the Kaiser to. The naval blockade from Britain was destroying Germany at home, and they had little choice but to resume. Another cause was the infamous Zimmermann telegram, which Germany sent to Mexico trying to coax them into fighting America, with Japan's help. They miscalculated the time it would take America to mobilize, thinking it would take many months, but instead only took weeks. Germany would make the same mistake in WW2 against Russia this time.

What does Holden caufield say about Allie that contradicts all his other statements about being an atheist?

Holden Caulfield, in J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye," describes his deceased brother, Allie, as being present in the afterlife. Although Holden usually expresses atheistic views and skepticism towards religion, his belief in Allie as a guardian angel contradicts this, suggesting a deeper spiritual or supernatural connection that transcends his usual beliefs.

What if a prosecutor reccomends a no bill?

Not really enough information contained in the question, -but- in my experience, what that phrase refers to is the Grand Jury prosecutor recommending that instead of a "bill of indictment" being returned against the defendant, he is instead recommending that the Grand Jury return a "bill" of no inictment against the defendant.

What year did America actually enter the 2nd world war with Germany?

Germany declared war against the US on December 11, 1941. This was four days after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and three days after the US declared war on Japan.Germany was not obligated by the terms of her alliance with Japan to declare war against the US. Germany would have been obligated only if Japan had been attacked, instead being herself the aggressor. But tensions had been growing over US aid to Britain and Hitler had contempt for US president Franklin Roosevelt. Hitler also seems to have shared the Japanese delusion that the US was weak and irresolute. It was November of 1942, in North Africa, before American ground troops first entered combat against Germany.

How did Britain feel about winning against Germany World War 2?
