Basically, Hitler had a huge amount of backing from rich pollination's this gave him an opportunity to set up a Propaganda at the time there was a financial crises called the depression. This affected a lot of country's including USA who were loaning money to Germany and then had to stop because of the depression. This meant that Germany's went bankrupt.

So what Hitler did was promise work to everyone and make Germany become rich and powerful !! And to rebuild the nation. That's why people voted him in to power.

The hatred of Jewish people came after , because he was unable to rebuild the nation so blamed it on Jew's

Hitler basically threatened and shut down each party either through force or tactically including the Left Wing Parties(Communist Party of Germany (KPD) 1919, Independent Social Democratic Party (USPD) 1917, Social Democratic Party (SPD) 1875) Central Parties (German Democratic Party (DDP) 1918, Zentrum (Centre), German People's Party) and the Right Wing Parties(German National People's Party (DNVP) 1920)

As the only party that remained was the Nationalist Socialists German Worker's Party (NAZI) 1920, the german citizens had no other choice but to vote for this party which Hitler was supporting.

There were many factors which attributed to the rise of Hitler.

In 1929, the Wall Street Crash happened so as Germany was borrowing money off America- it hit Germany pretty hard as they had to start paying off the loans to America now which they couldn't afford. This led to the unemployment in Germany rising to 6 million which was an all time high. The German people started flocking towards extremist parties who promised them away out of this- one of the extremist parties was the Nazi Party. This was shown in the elections of July 1932, where the Nazis had 230 seats and were the largest party in the Reichstag.

Whist this was all going on the President of Germany, President Hindenburg was using Article 48 to pass the laws as he couldn't get the Reichstag to argee to his ideas. This obviously made him more unpopular.

In January 1933, Hindenburg and Papen came up with a plan to get the Nazis on their side by offering to make Hitler vice chancellor as he had the largest party within the Reichstag so the Nazis would agree with whatever he said. He refused and demanded to be made chancellor. They agreed, thinking they could control him.

Hitler was a great public speaker because he spoke with a lot of passion about the subject he was speaking about so this would have the power to make people support him.

The moderate political parties would not work together, although together they had more support than the Nazis and the Nazi's storm troopers (the SA) attacked Hitler's opponents.

Goebbels' propaganda campaign was very effective and it won support for the Nazis. The Nazis targeted specific groups of society with different slogans and policies to win their support.

Hitler was given power in a seedy political deal by Hindenburg and Papen who foolishly thought they could control him.

German people were still angry about the Treaty of Versailles and supported Hitler because he promised to overturn it.

Industrialists gave Hitler money and support to carry on with his campaigns.

Germans loved Hitler at first was a good speaker most leaders in the past and the leaders we have today that gain a lot of power was and is good speaker tell people what they want to hear, you are watching their right arm and forget about their left arm. Once they realty found out what kind of man Hitler was it was to late he had to much power, now most Germans is happy that he is gone. That is the same thing happening in the US right now with Obama those who forget the mistakes in the past will repeat them.
