Mary I thought that she was entitled to the throne because she was Henry VIII daughter and he eventually agreed for her and Elizabeth to be in line to the throne if Edward died. Lady Jane Grey ruled for 9 days before she was arrested by Mary I. Soon after she was beheaded while Mary ruled as Queen.
