because people liked him so the worshipped him and his head was chopped of at birth LOL
They worshipped Ra (also called Re, Amun- Ra, Amun- Re)
Thebes was the capital city in new kingdom egypt. It was where Amun-Re was worshipped and also the site of the temple of Karnak.
Amun did not turn into Amun-Ra, they are two different gods.
Ancient Kush, also known as Nubia, had a pantheon of gods and goddesses. However, the exact number of gods worshipped by the ancient Kushites is not known. Some of the prominent deities include Amun, Isis, Osiris, and Horus. Like many ancient civilizations, the Kushites likely worshipped a variety of gods, each associated with different aspects of life and nature.
The Egyptian god, Ra, was associated with the midday sun. He is depicted with the body of a human, head of a falcon, and a sun disk rested on his head.
Seeing as how Thutmose III supposedly prized himself on his military skills, he likely worshipped Amun, who had been called the "god of war" from the beginning of the new kingdom. Also, there's a Statue of Thutmose III (shown by his cartouche) embracing the god Mut and Amun. He also constructed several temples near Thebes, his capital, which was an Amun worshiping centre. This might suggest he supported the worshippers of Amun more than worshipers of the various other gods.
Saint Amun died in 357.
Saint Amun was born in 294.
Amun The most powerful god in Egyptian theology, Amun was considered to be the divine "father" of all pharaohs.
Re, Amun- Ra or Amun- Re
Because his father Akhenaten had previously changed the religion from moon (Amun) worship to sun (Aten) worship with only Aten to be worshipped. The country hated it. So when Tutank took the throne he took the name Amun to gain favour with the people or maybe because he preferred the older ways.
He did not; the god Amun and the god Ra are two separate deities; a third as Amun-Ra was made from the combining of their names.
