- The most probable reason is he is shy and when he drinks too much his inhibitions are slack and he feels more comfortable with you. When sober he is probably too shy to invite you out. The best thing to do is when he is alone sit down with him and tell him how you feel. Good communication skills save a lot of trouble in relationships.

When he drinks his inhibitions are less and he feels more comfortable believing he is more confident even though he really isn't. When he is sober he may be too shy to ask you out. If you like him then try to get him by himself and tell him you do not care for him having to be drunk when he's with you and ask him why he does it. Good communication skills are important through ones life and saves a lot of heartache. If he offers no reason then let him know if he is drunk not to bother asking you out.Or, at the time when drunk he may have been hallucinating and thought you were naked.
