It is odd that Aphrodite would marry Hephaestus because when Hephaestus was born his mother Hera saw that Hephaestus was deformed and she cast him off of mount olympus. Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty and Hephaestus is not beautiful in the slightest making it odd that the goddess of beauty would mary one of the more ugly gods.

If Annabeth was the daughter of Athena who was the daughter of Zeus and Percy was the son of Poseidon would that mean Percy and Annabeth were related because Zeus and Poseidon are brothers?

Well yes, but there is much incest in Greek mythology. In one of the Percy Jackson and the Olympian books a daughter of Aphrodite dates a son of Hephaestus is a little more odd because those two gods are married. And Zues's daughters name is Thalia
