There are two issues that arise in trying to answer this question:

  1. There was something called "the Islamic Renaissance" which took place in the Arab World (including the Middle Eas) during the Golden Age of Islam. It was a burst of scientific and polymath achievement.
  2. "Renaissance" means rebirth, referring to resurgence of Greco-Roman humanistic culture after nearly 1500 years of Pietist Catholic culture. In Asia and the Middle East, there was no cultural rebirth or resurgence in either area, since each culture built on the previous ones.
