Africans were used as slaves for many reasons. One of them is that they had no one to stand up for them when they were kidnapped. Furthermore people with black skin were seen as not human in those days they were just seen as objects which people could use. To add to their problems they were not very advanced in weaponry and could not fight back. Members of some tribes were unreliable and betrayed their tribes by selling information to the English on the location of certain tribes. The whites were intent on using Africans as slaves as people were needed in the West Indies to do jobs. The most common job was to work on a plantation. This way the English created a triangle of trade. England gave guns and beer to the African traitors, the African traitors gave slaves to the West Indies and the West Indies gave their goods (e.g. fruit) to England.
Africans were considered not human because of their skin color. A trade beetween the colonies, England, and Africa was soon devoloped so everyone got what they wanted (except the African Americans). the crops were hard to farm by the colonists themselfs, so they needed extra help and africas people seemed an obvious solution, wich is very sad.

The Atlantic slave trade did not benefit Africans. It led to the forced removal of millions of Africans from their homes, families, and communities, resulting in immense suffering, loss of life, and disruption of societies. The slave trade primarily benefited European and American slave traders, plantation owners, and industries that were built on the exploitation of enslaved Africans.
