Before the colonized time, the ingredient from Asian not directly sold to Europe. It bought by Indian / Chinese trader first, then from Indian / Chinese sold to Middle East, from Middle East to Turkey or any Europe city gate.

Because of the long distribution route, the European Kingdom decide to find the origin land of the ingredients. Then come colonized time in Asia.
