How did europeans import slaves to the Americas?

On ships, mostly from West Africa. The slaves were procured by all the local African chiefs. Slavery (although this is an uncomfortable truth for many of today's Africans) was rampant in Africa itself, and some 20-30% of all Africans at the time were traded and held as slaves by other Africans. Of course this is no excuse at all for the Europeans' slave trading activities, but the happy partnerships with the local chiefs allowed them to simply place the order and sit back and wait for delivery. Until the mid-eighteenth century, the English, Dutch and French were the major slave traders to the Americas. After around 1750, the English had pushed out all competition and became the main transporters, only allowing the Americans to take part of the trade.

Why did black Africans allow themselves to become enslaved?

They were unable to stop the greed of their fellow humans. The shores of Africa are rocky, and a very dangerous place for ships to land. There are only a few places on the southern coast where a ship can land. Tribal warfare in Africa was an extremely common thing, and so were prisoners of war, and slaves in Africa. Europeans used this to their advantage. European Slave Traders did not march into villages, stripping Africans from their villages and homes to ship them off to be slaves. Majority of African tribal societies live inland due to the cliffs and rocky shores that are not suitable for fishing. The Europeans utilized African tribal warfare. The victorious tribe would march their prisoners of war to the southern coast, and trade them for weapons, as well as many other foreign items such as blankets and clothes. Then the prisoners became slaves. This was quickly recognized to be a very profitable practice. Soon raiding parties, formed of African natives, would overtake villages for slaves, and even abduct Africans in the night for slave trade. It is worth noting that the "Black Africans" were not a unity. There were numerous different tribes with longstanding animosities. They saw no reason to unite against Europeans who were giving them good monetary treatment.

Australia is not particularly a harder place in which to survive than other continents. Europeans came and built houses, planted crops, fished, herded sheep, etc. They did this mainly in the coastal regions, since the interior is mostly desert.

Is America a race?

No, but, American is.No American is not a race. (3 races make up earth, caucasian, asian, and african)OR an ethnic group, nationality, etc.Because America is colonized 99% of Asians, Africans, and Europeans. Only 1% is Native American, North and South America's native ethnic group is Native American. But Europeans set up little empires in North and South America conquering and taking over. Asians started settling in the 1900s and late-ish 1800s, mostly in the West Coast. Africans were brought in as slaves sold by their own people, but later Africans settled as well. So all these races took the Native Americans place in the Americas. Different races are often added the suffix of America to it if they live in America. Like Asian American, African American, Italian American, Mexican American, etc.
