they were tied with allies powers because of Germany submarines sinking American ship hauling supplies to all of the country which had accounted for a great many of deaths and lossage of supplies. This brought America into the war. The patriotism in America brought many people wanting to go to the war for help and freedom. THey waited till Russia was knocked out of the war they join in because they didnt want communism to come to America plus America hated russia via Cold war between them and sovies.
