Women in Canada obtained the right to vote in a sporadic fashion. Federal authorities granted them the franchise in 1918, more than two years after the women of Manitoba became the first to vote at the provincial level in 1916. Québec women were denied the provincial vote until 1940. Indigenous women were not enfranchised federally until 1960. Source: The Canadian Encyclopedia - womens-suffrage.

The 1937 elections did not go too well for the All-India Muslim League at all. They only won 109 seats out of the reserved 482 seats. The Congress however, won an astounding number of 707 seats. Provinces like Orissa and the NWFP were won by the Congress. Even in Muslims-dominated provinces like Punjab and Bengal, they did not fare well. The Indian National Congress secured absolute majority in 5 provinces and was the largest single party in 4 others. So out of 11 provinces, the Congress had safely secured 8 provinces in which they formed governments, whereas the Muslims League could not form a government in any province. However, as it was their first time participating in any major elections, it was not too bad a result as they ranked second out of all the parties and, were not the sole party representing Muslims, an example being the Unionists.
