The two most likely reasons? 1: The grass is too long, or wet (or both). 2: The blades are extremely dull.
Hello, I need to know the tractor model number and deck size to answer your question..
If the blades are belt driven, like most are, then it makes no difference what position they are in. The deck is made so the blades do not touch each other.
First of all you might have hit a stump and one of the blades are bent...but if you dont remember doing anything like that, then get a level and place it on your deck and see if its level, if not there should be a way to adjust it, you'll have to take a pin out on one side and lower or raise the deck to the next hole. But id check the blades first
There are two blades on that model. It has mixed reviews due to placement of some features but it is attractive to some people because of the large mower deck.
Raise mower deck, put blocks (2x4) under deck, and then lower deck handle. Find on each side, spring loaded U clip that holds deck hangars to deck. Pull back each one and turn 90 degrees. Raise deck handle to pull hangars out of the way. Remove blocks to lower deck. Move deck backwards to disengage from front hangar. Unhook deck belt from PTO. Remove deck from side. Flip deck over (WARNING: HEAVY, get help). Use impact wrench to remove large nuts on each blade, or block each blade with a short 2x4. Before removing take note of which way the blade edge and trailing edge faces. Install new or sharpened blades. Reverse procedure to reinstall.
8, Poop deck, Quarter deck, Foc'sle, Upper Gun deck, Middle gun deck, Lower gun deck, Orlop, and Hold. Unlike the warrior it didn't have steam power.
2 21inch blades.
Most Craftsman riding mowers have an adjusting nut on the pivoting linkage. If you look on top of the deck there are two arms coming from above that raise and lower the deck. The bottom of these rods are threaded and can be adjusted right there.
because of grass colecting on the top of the cutting deck stops the belts that run the blades and the same belts conect to the engen and when the grass stops the belts it stops the pistons and stalls the mower
There's a safety switch under the seat. It will shut the tractor off if you get off the machine while the blades are engaged. It's not sensing your weight thinking you have fallen off the tractor.
reinstalling after blade exchange
I changed the blade belt on my Murray mower. Now one blade stops and goes. If I lower the deck the blade stop . What did I do wrong?
