Maybe there's a killer after you!!
Seriously though, there are a number of things that could potentially be wrong. If you're checking yourself you'll want to check for spark at the spark plug wires, correct engine timing (ie a jumped or broken timing belt, the engine will spin a lot faster than normal if the belt is broken), fuel pressure and fuel quality, and injector pulse. You'll need all these things to start the engine, but they don't have to be checked in that order. Start with checking for spark as that's the most common issue for a Toyota no start then go from there.
If the vehicle was somewhere cold and the battery was too weak to start the engine, and now you've installed a new battery and still can't start it then it's likely the engine is just flooded.
If you have power, as in everything works like the lights, and it just will not start, suspect you blew the starter relay. If the engine turns over but just will not start, check all fuses and relays. Cars today have very sensitive electronics. Worse case scenario you burnt the ECU out.
