In all situations automotive or trailer related the left side or right side refers to as if you are sitting inside the vehicle. In other words, the drivers side is the left side and the passenger side is the right side.
Not sure what vehicle you have but check the fuses. Some vehicles have separate fuses for left and right headlights.
Usually there will be lights or equipment in the house that will not operate. If all of the branch circuit breakers or fuses have not tripped or blown the only conclusion left is that the main breaker or fuse has tripped or blown.
AnswerBuy a kit at Wal-Mart, U-Haul, or auto parts comes with instructions Or, yellow wire is left turn, green wire right turn, red wire stop, brown wire marker/clearance lights. This is pretty standard for a 4 way pigtail. If you have electric brakes, this is typically a blue wire.
it moves from left to right
There are about 5 fuses for the trailer harness, Trailer Back up,Trailer left turn, Trailer right turn, Trailer Brake, and Trailer hazards. They are located in the underhood fuse box on the Drivers side of your motor. On my 2003 Silverado, the Trailer left/stop and Trailer right/stop fuses are located in the fuse panel just inside the driver's side door. (Not sure about the trailer brake or hazard fuses.....I wasn't having problems with those :). There is one additional fuse for the trailer harness. The 15A fuse for the trailer running lights is located in the fuse panel under the hood, next to the battery. The fuse is labeled "Trailer Park".
Open the hood and look in the engine compartment. On the forward left side (as if you are looking forward from the steering wheel) there should be a fuse box. The cover should pry off with finger pressure. On the inside of the cover is a diagram of fuses. Look for a 15A fuse that says "Trailer running/clearance lights". Pull it out. If there is any discoloration or sign of burning, replace it. This should give you power to the trailer. If you have any other lights out on the trailer, check some of the other fuses. Turn/stop/ back up lights have fuses in this location.
If the Avalanche came with the factory trailering package, the trailer lights are separately fused from the other truck lights. Check your fuse panel layout for a 10-amp fuse for left side and a separate fuse for right side turn signal/brake light on the trailer.
This year of truck has a separate circuit for the trailer turn/barke/tail lights. Look under the hood, under the fuse box. Look for the trailer fuses on the fuse directory
Left is yellow, right is green, tail lights are brown.
you probably need to change your fuses you probably need to change your fuses
from what i know there are separate fuses for the left side lights and the right side lights so it might be a fuse
turn the knob on the left side of the steering wheel on the dash. It will brighten the dash, and radio lights by turning it to the right and it will dim the lights by turning it to the left.
Check ground circuit Check bulbs they are duble filamented one may be burned out Seems to me there is a wire crossed at the harness. I think the vehicle left turn signal wire is hooked up to the trailer tail lights wire. Usually there are four wires at the trailer harness, yellow, green, white, and brown, The brown wire is usually the tail lights and side marker lights, the white wire is ground, the yellow and green go to the left and right signal lights.
Check the wiring for damage or grounding problems and thoroughly examine the trailer plug if you have one. If you can't find any problems there, check the turn signal switch.
Try to find out if the car have fuses for left and right brake lights. And did you replace the bulb on the side that is not working?
check fuses
