Sounds like the lock may need replacing. Usual cause is the big ball of keys people have on their vehicle's key ring which damages the inner lock mechanism.
Your best bet is to go to the dealer.
go to Chevrolet dealer
go to radio shack
Go to an authorized Honda dealer.
u have to go to the dealer. plus they upgraded the key so the new one looks way different from the one you have its $230.00 they are the only ones who can do it
you have to go under the dash and take out the steering column. and the ignition switch should have a wire going down to the bottom of the column coming from the ignition lock.
Unfortunately, you'll have to go to the dealership, and the keys can run $30. There is a security chip in the key, and it has to be matched to the car. Most key copy stores will have a blank that looks very similar, but it doesn't have a chip in it.

Turn your key to the on position and see if your theft light is blinking. If it is then leave the key on for about 10 mintues. The light will go off. and then it might start.
Turn key on, do not start,Then push the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times then turn key off. and then start engine. Light will go out in a few seconds.
