Sounds like injection pump. Try pouring cool water on injection pump, sounds crazy, but it works. I had to do it for several months. I have a friend who was having the same no start problems. He is still doing it. Ask a GOOD diesel mechanic, he can explain the problem better than me.
Not in any modern diesels. Some old diesel tractors from the 1940's where gasoline start and then ran on diesel once the engine was warm. Those did have carburetors. Not in any modern diesels. not much, it just makes it harder to start when the engine is warm. but diesel in a petrol car...do not start or it wil destroy it
Compression.
The "plug" powers an coolant heater. A diesel engine starts easier if the engine is warm.
Most diesel engines have a block heater that heats the engine coolant so that the whole engine is warm to make it easier to start on cold mornings because a diesel uses compression heat to ignite the diesel fuel.
Do you have an old diesel or a new one? If you have an old diesel engine, you turn the key to the "run" position and look for the glow plug light. Glow plugs heat the cylinders, and when the engine is warm the light goes out, you turn the key and the engine starts. On a new diesel, you turn the key and it starts.
Around 750 rpm with warm engine and in gear.Around 750 rpm with warm engine and in gear.
Check out the fuel shut off solenoid. The only reason a diesel wont run when warm is if it has no fuel.
we have 1993 acura legend it hard up it 4 to 5 times to start up when it start it will start up e.z i mean when engine warm up any body have any idea ?
as it is diesel it needs glow plugs to warm up prior to start up,that is why you get the little squiggle light on ur dash, when that goes out you are ready to start it up...diesel motors don't have spark plugs...compression ignition.so if you keep trying to start straight away you will only end up replacing the glow plugs.
yupps
why won't 1992 Accura Integra RS start in warm weather
