Remove the bolts and disconnect the wires and pull the seat out
Anyone know is it possible to use the backseat as the third row ? Do they pull out and attach the same (specifically in a 1998 ford expedition xlt )
Move it to the front seat!

sounds like the blend door is not working
there are 4 bolts on the bottom of seat to unbolt and a power connection for power seats that you disconnect.
Sounds like the motor or gears have a problem. You can try to find the wiring and power the motor up in reverse manually. I had a problem with a seat in a Volvo and it allowed me to maually turn the gears to move the seat back itno a position where it was comfortable for the customer to drive. I then disconected the power to the seat motors so they couldn't move it by accident. I had to get inside the seat to do this.
I would look at the connector and see if it's loose or has a burnt wire. You should be able to take the side off of the seat and get to it.
There are four bolts that hold the seat to the frame of the car. Put seat all the way forward and take out the 2 back bolts - then move seat back to take out the front bolts and the seat should come right out. If it is a power seat you have to disconnect the electrical wires first - obviously. Had to do this not long ago....good luck!
Move the seat all the way forward then remove the nuts or bolts from rear. Move the seat all the way back then remove the front nuts or bolts. Tip the seat back and disconnect the electrical plug(s). Remove the seat from vehicle.
At the back of the seat, move the seat all the way forward to access them...
