On the 1997-2000 Ford Expedition models the 3rd row seat are remove by. Folding seat in half then pull handle in the rear of the center of the seat bottom portion of the seat up. Pull handle and push top of seat forward. Be very careful the 3rd row seat is very heavy. Best bet is to get someone to help to fit it out.
Put the seatback down. It will lock in place. There is a small bar a couple of feet long at the back of the seat. Lift up on it and pull the seat toward the rear of the truck. That's it. It is fairly heavy though.
