Shift the 4 wheel drive lever into 4 wheel drive.
There is an extra shift lever that controls the transfer case. Put it in 2H (if you want to drive with regular rear-wheel drive) or neutral (if you don't want to engage any wheels at all). On most CJ7's, you should also unlock the hubs. Outside the vehicle, in the center of each front wheel, there will be a tab to rotate. That disengages the wheels from the front drive axles, so you won't be rotating all those parts in the front drive system as you drive in 2WD. Of course, CJ7's being very old now, many or most have been heavily customized, so you really need to know the specific vehicle.
The cj5 is shorter so it wont line up right
if you read jp magazine and petersons 4 wheel drive. they have adds for fuel injection kits for all cjs. supposedly
Yes.
No since the J-10 has a wider wheel trac and longer wheel base, but anything is possible with much modification!

Assuming you have the quadra trac transfer case (full time 4 wheel drive) the answer is yes as long as you lock in the glovebox mounted vacuum swich. This will lock in the transfercase and can drive with either the front driveshaft or the rear driveshaft off the jeep......Jeff
