i am working on the same problem at my 230 ce 1990 right now (w124). the first thing you have to check is the blower motor, and when you have got that out of the car, you see a panel, straight trough that panel there is a resistor, if thats not burned, you can check any wires going in and away from the resistor. in my case it is the panel to the heater that is broken. Good luck! :)
(my english is not the best because im Norwegian)
did your heater switch go out all of a sudden or did some work like high work and low not work? if some worked your blower resister is most likely bad under your glove box
its the blower resistor.
Depends on what you mean by heater will not work. If the blower motor will not work, it can be a blown fuse, bad blower motor, bad blower motor switch, or a defective blower motor resistor pack. If you mean that the blower motor works but there is no heat, then it can be a clogged heater core, thermostat stuck open, or defective heater control valve.
Check the 30 amp Blower fuse. If not that check the fan relay, if not that check the blower motor directly from a jump on the fan itself.
Blower wont work on all 5 speeds, usually the lower speeds tend to go first.
there is a condenser on the heater housing it has 2 bolts holding it into the housing, just below the heater motor, they go bad, i had the same problem on a 95 rodeo.
There might be a bad fuse causing the heater to not work. Check the fuses if they are all ok you may have a bad blower motor. when you turn the heater on and no air is blowing then it is your blower motor.
You most likely will have a bad blower resister........
replace heater relay and or heater blower motor
you have a bad heater core
probably the blower motor resistor
heater blower resistor has to be replaced. you have to remove glove boxthe resistor is to the right of the heater blower moter
