Because its rusted on the hub and you have to hit it very hard w/ a hammer.
Unless on some cars its bolted to the spindle. What car is this for?
they will come off you will need to spray around the rotor with WD 40 to loosen it up then take a rubber mallet and hit the rotor from behind and it will come off
Once the caliper is off then the rotor should come off. If not take a hammer and beat on the rotor. Then it will either come off or crack and come off. If that does not get it off you would have to heat it with a torch.
Car just shut off checked getting fuel cranks good just wont turn over
sumtimes in a moving car suddenly the car goes off.....if the car doesnt start again,...one of the reasons might b damage of rotor.. to start car again v need a rotor...
Yes, I understand the emergency brake has to be off so the pads wont be up against the disc or drum when attempting to change the brakes and rotors.
If someone is having problems removing a stuck piece of a car such as a front brake rotor, even when the screws are out, then it needs some lubricant. The best thing is to spray some WD-40 onto the are and certainly into the join between the part and the car and leave that to work for at least an hour before trying again.
No, the rotor will come off with out the hub. After the brake caliper is off the only thing holding the rotor is rust. Hit between the studs with a hammer and it will come off.
Remove the brake caliper then tap the rotor on the inside and it will come off.
HELLO IF YOU HAVE TAKEN OFF THE TWO BOLTS AND STILL WONT COME OFF USE A SCREW DRIVER AND PRY THE CALIPER UP FROM BETWEEN THE ROTOR AND CALIPER ALSO YOU CAN PUSH THE CALIPER BACK TOWARDS THE INNER SPRING BETWEEN THE CALIPER AND ROTOR SITS THIS WILL PUSH THE CALIPER BACK AND GIVE YOU EXTRA CLEARANCE TO PULL UP THE CALIPER
take the wheel off, remove the two bolts off the back of the caliper, take the caliper off the rotor, take the little star screw out of the the face of the rotor, after that take a mallet and tap the rotor and it should come right off!
Once you remove the pads & caliber the rotor is easy to remove. After you have the caliper off there may be 1 or 2 screws that need to come off then tap the rotor with a rubber mallet or a puller to get it off because it may be rusted.
they will never come off
