The needle and seat have dirt stuck between them, the needle and seat are worn out, the float is not adjusted properly or stuck, the float has failed (no longer has buoyancy), excess fuel pressure,
Change the intake manifold and fuel pump... And naturally put a carb on top of the new intake.
No, if you have injection the pump will pressurize the system on it's own. If you have a carb, you may want to prime the system for quick starting. Priming is done by pouring fuel into the top of the carb into the bowl vent, which will allow you to fill the bowl of the carb, so that the engine can start and run long enough for the fuel pump to get fuel from the tank and up to the carb.
If it is a manual with a carb the fuel pump is bolted to the head. If it is FI the fuel pump is on top of/in the gas tank.
It is located on the rear of the motor, top left if sitting in the seat. Just follow the fuel line from the carb.
The location of the fuel line depends on where the carburetor is mounted. If the carb is mounted directly on top of the fuel tank, the fuel "line" is the pickup tube that extends from the carburetor into the tank. The carburetor will have to be removed to get to the pickup tube. If the carb is mounted away from the fuel tank, the fuel line will come from the tank.
The bowls of the carb are filled from the top. In the case of fuel injection, the fuel pump is in the tank and pushes fuel when you turn the key.
bad float? needle and seat stuck open? too much fuel pressure?
If you remove the air cleaner from the top of the carburetor and look at the front of the carburetor you will see a big medal line going to the carb. You will need a 1 inch wrench and a 5/8 inch wrench to take the fuel line loose from the carb. The fuel filter is behind the 1 inch fitting that's screewed into the carb.
its in the carb behind the fuel line. Disconnect the fuel line then unscrew the connector and there she is. MAKE DAM SURE U DISCONNECT FUEL LINE PRIOR TO RECONNECTING THESE THREADS STRIP EASY CARE FULL REINSTALLING IF STRIPPED YOU GOT REPLACE TOP OF CARB,WITH FUEL LINE STILL CONNECTED U CANT JIGGLE IT SO TO SPEAK..
Right on top of engine, next to fuel injector or carb, on passenger side. Usually has a wiring harness coming off the top if it.
Hi. It is located behind the TBI right where the two fuel lines go in. To replace it you have to remove the carb, and remove the top and lift the whole top off, under there you will see the regulator.
If you have an edelbrock carb, remove the top of the carb, flip it over and there you have em! 2 floats! should be about 5/16 from the top of the carb i believe
