Most likely one of the seals on the tranny is worn through age and the fluid is leaking from there. That being said, if you have, or anyone has, dropped the pan on the transmission to change the filter or something, the mounting screws on the bottom of the pan may not have the right torque specifications on them. These are usually pretty sensitive to the proper amount of torque. If not properly torqued, fluid could leak from the pan because the gasket is not properly sealed. Hope this helps Is there a specific torque amount, and is there a sequence to tighten the bolts as in tightening the bolts when you change a tire? Thanks, Steve
You add automatic transmission fluid to a 1989 V6 3.0 Toyota pickup truck through the filler tube in the engine compartment. This is also used to check the fluid level.
It is important to maintain the fluid levels in a car, and it is important to put the right type of fluids in the car as well. A 1989 Chevy Pick up uses Dexron III transmission fluid.
The 1989 Mitsubishi transmission fluid tank can be found on the bottom of the transmission. The transmission fluid tank is known as the transmission fluid pan.
how to check the fluid on a manual transmission for a 1989 ford probe gt
There is no external transmission reservoir. Transmission fluid is stored in the transmission. Fluid is added at the same point at which you check the fluid level.
It is important to check the fluid levels of a car. The transmission dipstick of this car is under the cars hood, behind the grill on the front of the engine block and has a red seal.
The transmission fluid capacity on a Ford Festiva is 3.75 litres for a manual transmission.
You can add transmission fluid to your 1989 Mitsubishi transmission through the dipstick holder. The dipstick holder should have a bright yellow handle.
That would depend on which 5 speed manual transmission you have in your 1989 Ford Ranger : The Mitsubishi ( transmission code " D " ) takes ( 80-90W gear lube ) The Mazda ( transmission code " M " ) takes ( MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
The brake system uses brake fluid and the trans uses trans fluid.
where is says transmission fluid only read the caps it tells you
