It sounds like a wheel bearing is drying out, if you swerve side to side( a little bit) on the highway at 30-50 kliks. you may also hear the hum come and go. When the wheels are turned in a certain position and load is put on it, the noise will go away, I would get this checked out, it might be a little costly, the bearings are seviced as an assembly with a hub, and ABS brakes expect more.
It is most likely your front tires and then that woul mean your wheel bearing.
newdiv vacuum leak, cat. converter comming apart, exhaust noise
I just had this problem with my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. The problem is a short in the "multi-function switch." When I took it to get fixed, they told me that a lot of Pontiac Grand Ams have had this problem, and mine was fixed through warranty. If that is not the problem with your car, check the "signal flasher relay." Hope I helped!
When making changes to a car it is important to have a diagram of the area. The wiring harness diagram to a Pontiac Grand Am can be found in its maintenance manual.
